Social Security has made a few changes over this year.

2013 brought a new Social Security Ruling on Fibromyalgia that clarifies the diagnosis and criteria that Social Security uses to determine whether a claimant with fibromyalgia is disabled.

Social Security beneficiaries received a 1.5% cost of living increase in December 2013. For SSI recipients, the new full SSI benefit is $721.00.
