At Golson, McCracken Inc., we are always looking for ways to give back to our local community. We were honored to be a part of this year’s The Light 103.9 FM “Unity in the Community Day” as a sponsor.

Unity in the Community Day brings together people from all over the Triangle and the surrounding areas. This year’s event took place on September 6, from 11:00am to 6:00pm at the NC State Fairgrounds. There was food, fun, and entertainment for the whole family!

The event was created to celebrate and honor service men and women in the Triangle and surrounding areas, and has grown to be an exciting and memorable event for people of all ages. Unity in the Community Day enables individuals and families from the area to show their support and enjoy a fun-filled day together.

During the day’s festivities, there was also a health and wellness event available to all who attended. The event brought local doctors, health organizations, and other outreach programs together to provide on-site medical care and information. All attendees were able to receive health education and other benefits, including free medical screenings such as:

• Blood pressure
• Eye exams
• Diabetes
• HIV
• Hepatitis immunizations
• Dental screenings

The event was open to the entire area and served as a great avenue for members of the local community to connect with health organizations and doctors. We were thrilled to be a part of this year’s Unity in the Community Day and grateful that we had the chance to be a sponsor.
