On June 20, 2014 the Fayetteville Office of Disability Adjudication & Review (ODAR) hosted a Meet & Greet with area representatives. It was a very good opportunity to meet staff members, the management team, and Judge Mark Ziercher, a new judge to the Fayetteville ODAR, who had just arrived that day. Also present were Judges Benedict, Hogan, and Willis.

Judge Thawley, the new chief judge in Fayetteville, introduced himself to the representatives that had not made his acquaintance during his previous service at the Raleigh ODAR. Judge Thawley plans to remain in Fayetteville for the foreseeable future. His goal is to always provide excellent public service in a reasonable timeframe.

Hearing Office Director Donald Swain and Billy Vincent, the Fayetteville Social Security Office manager, also spoke about their goals to reduce the backlog of Social Security claims, and to increase efficiency in general. They are very open to communicating directly with representatives who had suggestions for promoting efficiency, and the floor was opened for questions and suggestions from the representatives who were present.

We enjoyed this open forum and opportunity to meet with the management and staff at the Fayetteville ODAR. We look forward to working with their office to improve the quality and efficiency that our clients deserve.
