Holiday Greeting 2013

December 20, 20132013, Assistance with Medical Treatment, December, General, Hooliday Greeting from Golson, McCracken, Medical Treatment, Services for Veteranstheclickdepot

Posted By Golson McCraken Inc || 20-Dec-2013

All of us at Golson, McCracken have a lot to be grateful for this year. We have our health and families that we love. The work that we do is rewarding, and we have been able to improve the lives of many of our clients and their families.

We’d like to thank our clients for having confidence in us, and entrusting us with their claims. They are going through the most painful chapters of their lives, and yet they handle their situations with grace, and many of them with humor.

We’d like to thank all of our former clients who still check in with us from time to time, and the many of them who have referred family and friends who have become disabled.

We’d like to thank the many good Samaritans who have helped our clients through the year.

The medical professionals who volunteer their time and go the extra mile to make sure that their patients get samples when they can’t afford their medications, or help them fill out tedious paperwork to qualify for free medications through the pharmaceutical companies. One client told me that although Medicaid won’t pay for her to have any more therapy sessions, her therapist calls her to check on her on a weekly basis.

The teachers who offer free tutoring afterschool, and take extra time to help a child with difficulties learning or socializing with their peers.

The advocacy groups that help disabled veterans transition back into the civilian population. The volunteers who build the ramps, check on the veteran and his or her family to make sure they feel safe, who feed and shelter homeless veterans, and make sure that if they are able to work, they are supported in their efforts.

The senior center staff and volunteers who comfort the lonely and infirm, giving them a safe, enriching place to spend their days and share their stories.

The volunteers who deliver meals on wheels to those that are too ill to venture out or prepare their own meals. They also deliver a kind word and smile to those who truly need it.

The countless compassionate others who staff or donate their time and money to soup kitchens and homeless shelters taking care of those who are less fortunate.

The many churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples who offer spiritual solace as well as attending to the everyday physical needs of those who suffer.

As we say good bye to 2013, we hope that 2014 brings all of our clients and their families comfort and joy, and that those who have been there for them and all others in need will be rewarded with the good fortune that they so richly deserve.
